If there’s a hydrogen prototype that gets us our pulses racing, it’s the Hyperion XP-1.

The eye-catching XP-1 is powered by an advanced hydrogen fuel cell system that drives its electric motors – and it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 2.2 seconds.

It has a top speed of over 220 mph and a range of more than 1,000 miles on a single tank of hydrogen.

The Hyperion XP-1, built by Hyperion Motors, has been constructed using lightweight and durable carbon titanium and a sweeping 98-inch curved display offers an immersive interface.

It has zero emissions, with the only byproduct being water vapor, and can be refueled with hydrogen in just a few minutes.

Each vehicle is meticulously handcrafted and has a state-of-the-art suspension system designed for superior handling and comfort.

MrBeast jumped behind the wheel in his Youtube video ‘$1 vs $100,000,000 Car!’ and said: “This $2million limited edition hydrogen car is completely powered by hydrogen but the car is still being developed, so this is just a prototype.

“They built this car as a proof of concept so driving it on the road is…questionable.

“Although this car uses hydrogen instead of gas [petrol], it still has a range of over 1,000 miles and a top speed of 221 mph.”

And his fellow Youtuber Supercar Blondie was also blown away by the Hyperion XP-1, taking a good look around the mean machine and admiring its solar panels in her video ‘Water Firing Hypercar with NASA Technology | Hyperion

She said: “This is the future guys. When it’s going slowly it doesn’t make any noise – but when it’s going fast, it screams at you like you’re watching a horror film.

“Hyper means beyond, and ion means the highest point, so this car is ‘beyond the highest point’. Whatever you are thinking right now, this is beyond it.

“This car actually uses technology developed by NASA – and has an air blade that wraps around the car.

“There are two cool things about this – it helps with aerodynamics, and also has solar panels right the way through it.

“It has over 2000 horse power – and runs on hydrogen!”

Her video and the Hyperion XP-1 proved a smash hit with subscribers, with plenty of them pouring praise on the prototype, saying: “This is literally the most futuristic thing I’ve ever seen.

“The idea of H² and Zero Emissions. You just can’t beat clean.

“I love it. I was having flashbacks of The Jetsons and could hear the theme song in my head. I love the sound of the car too, very cool, a relative of mine developed a hydrogen car in the 70s while in high school.

“This car is insane! Running only on hydrogen? That’s insane…I hope Hyperion gets all the success they deserve!”
