Honda CRV hydrogen model reaches production and leasing options released

Honda USA have just announced new leasing options for its new plug-in hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV).

The CR-V e:FCEV is available with attractive lease terms, with the majority of customers expected to choose a three-year/36,000-mile lease for $459 per month, including $15,000 of hydrogen refuelling credits during the term.

Prices start from $389 per month, up to $489 per month for a six and two-year lease respectively.

Co-developed with General Motors, Honda this month celebrated the start of production of the CR-V FCEV (fuel cell electric vehicle) model, with its production based at Honda’s Performance Manufacturing Plant in Ohio, USA.

Honda says “the CR-V e:FCEV received a 270-mile EPA driving range rating, combining the fuel cell system with plug-in charging to provide up to 29 miles of EV driving around town with the flexibility of fast hydrogen refuelling for longer trips”.

Leasing is available through a network of 12 approved Honda dealerships in select California markets, including six dealerships in Southern California (Los Angeles and Orange County areas), five in the San Francisco Bay Area, and one in the Sacramento area.
